Our animals
Farnborough Farms is determined to consistently deliver the best, most delicious, quality protein to the Capricorn Coast and beyond! Our animals are well cared for, free range, and ethically raised and fed to age and size consistent with best practice regenerative farming principals.
Purebred heritage Wessex Saddleback pigs
These rare heritage breed of pig have excellent fat coverage and produce a succulent marbled meat. They are suited well for pasture and have strong rooting behaviour. Their lard is suitable for cooking and cosmetics, and they are a strong and hardy animal.
Our pigs diet consists of pig pellets, local sourced family-farmed chickpeas, foraged grass, roots, seasonal produce. Our pigs are free to roam across several large paddocks on a rotational basis to support soil health and animal health.
All our pork is rich in nutrients, ethically raised, and consistently delivers quality great tasting meat.
We offer Pork all year round in the following packs:
- Starter Packs (10kg)
- Half/Whole Pig (40–50kg)
- Lard available for Cooking or cosmetic use
Heritage Berkshire pigs
Berkshire pigs are renowned for producing premium-quality pork with exceptional eating characteristics. Their meat is naturally well-marbled, delivering outstanding flavour, tenderness, and juiciness in every cut. Compared to conventional pork, Berkshire meat is slightly darker, richer, and more succulent.

Harlequin Mini Meat Sheep
These low-maintenance sheep are known for their gentle temperament and good parenting skills. They are easy to manage and self-shed coats, eliminating additional farming interruption and intervention.
